I have a LX90 and would like to take astrophotos through it , I really need help in deciding what camera to go for, I own a Nikon D70 but I'm sure that it wouldn't standup to dedicated astro CCD units, am I correct in that asumption ??

I am observing jupiter for the first time, and it is by far my favotite object right now! All I have is a dinky 60 mil refractor, but I can clearly see the major bands. No red spot, but I've read I need a better scope to see that. No matter, seeing the bands and the major moons is ...
