| Teleskop-Service refractors @ Bray Imaging | 15 Mar 2005 20:03 GMT | 6 |
Anyone got one of these or know the backgroud to them? I assume they are built in China? I'm looking at the 127mm f9 model, they are availiable with Ronchi image certificates, is this a guarantee of optical quality?

| Yippee! I've seen Mercury at last! | 15 Mar 2005 18:54 GMT | 2 |
Sorry to get so excited, but it's my first time. I sat at my study window, waiting for that brief moment between the sky darkening sufficiently and Mercury setting behind the house across the road. First glimpse was with binoculars, then I could find it with the naked eye.

Part of science is making a coherent language in which the "experts" can communicate. I am in process of doing that now in terms of Einstein's plain vanilla GR and mainstream gauge theory. That's why I want to clean out all the excess baggage, the false leads like Hal's PV. :-)

| help please with observable changes 1980-2200AD for SF novel | 14 Mar 2005 20:12 GMT | 4 |
Greetings folks. I hope someone can assist me with a SF novel I am writing. This is probably horrendously basic stuff for you guys, so please humour a novice. The storyline involves someone in 1980 who is flung forward in time to 2200AD.
