Why do ir filters interfere with imaging?

I'm slowly getting back into astrophotography...does the remote control
work on the bulb setting or is the hardwire cable needed? Any of these any good?

Dear group et al,
During the first week of Jun/2008, the WASP team announced two new
exoplanets, namely WASP-10b and WASP-14b. Both of these are
significantly heavier than Jupiter and also much more dense.

This weekend I worked through taking basic solar disk images using a
PST CaK and Ha using the Meade Electronic Eyepiece (MEE) and a fixed
tripod.  The images are not high-end stuff, but provide a how-to guide
for owners of a PST Ha or CaK how want to try their hand at doing

I need some sample FIT files of astro images to test some software. I
haven't found anything via Google. Are there some web libraries that contain
them, particularly the Messier objects and taken with scopes of a modest
size, 6-16"?

On page 572,Flamsteed is writing to Moore concerning his new

We just bought an astroscan it doesn't seem to have included a screw for the
sight. I'd like to try it out tonight, with the sight. Does anyone have a

I just bought a pair of Nikon 8x42 ATB Monarch which is sold as
waterproof and fog-proof.  I live in Florida where the humidity can be
amazing and when I exit my car or house, the binos being cooler they
do fog up badly but, as far as I can tell, only on the outside.
