Meade 10" Starfinder - opinions wanted31 Jul 2007 18:08 GMT16
I'm looking to buy my first scope.  I had planned on getting an Orion
XT8 as a Dob of this size seemed the best tradeoff between cost,
performance, and practicality for me.  However, I may have the
opportunity to purchase a Meade Starfinder 10" in excellent condition

I came across this very curiously shaped object and I was wondering
what the experts on this group made of it.

How 40 years of liberal experiments killed U.S. science education31 Jul 2007 03:58 GMT13
The fact something like this exists is further testament to the fact
of the subject.  Replace sciences with "social sciences" in the
schools and now Third World countries like India turn out most of the
engineers and scientists.

After years of wanting to get involved in astronomy as a hobby, I decided to
finally persue it.
Would these be wise investments to get started with?

Messiers done. Now what ... ?28 Jul 2007 15:52 GMT21
For the last few years working on the Messier list has been the
center piece of my observing agenda (whenever possible).
I finally finished the list, and while I plan to go back and look
at various objects again, I am wondering what to tackle next.

derivation.
The law of inter conversion of mass -energy is basic law of science.
William Optics' ZenithStar 80 II ED27 Jul 2007 14:23 GMT1
Good day
I would like to hear from people who have used William Optics'
ZenithStar 80 II ED telescope.  I am considering it instead of Orion's

Mac drivers for DSI Pro?27 Jul 2007 07:35 GMT3
I recently purchased a DSI Pro.  Although I can use a PC if necessary, I
also use a Mac and would prefer using the latter if Mac drivers are
available for this camera.  Are Mac drivers available for the DSI Pro?
Thanks in advance,

Assistance finding LRGB image registration tutorial please26 Jul 2007 23:04 GMT3
I recently took my first set of LRGB images and now wish to align them.
The problem I have is each LRGB final image is of slightly different size
due to stacking sub exposures and the stacking application croping the final
stacked image of each set.
