I am building a large camera obscura.
Can anyone recommend where or how to obtain a converging lens with a
focal length of several feet (for less than $200)?

Yesterday the park manager gave me two books he's gotten during the last few
years. One is a nice paperback by Sam Brown a "all about Telescopes" which
has some sections showing some older mounts, don't show a dob, but dob like
mounts which it says can't be used to view the N.S.. ...

I got the telrad in the stargazer steve dob and put a 17mm ep in and that's
when I found that tiny screw that holds the EP in is gone, and just when and
where it came out I'm not sure, but with the 17mm ep in the moon was good
and  I got the telrad alined on it. I need to clean ...

This afternoon, about thirty minutes ago, ALL images on s.a.a. Mugshots
completely vanished from my harddrive and the website.  They were there one
minute, then I tried to upload something else to the site and upon
publishing with the new addition included, all images were gone.  ...

Hello Group,
During the last Mars opposition I was able to take some digital photos
of Mars by coupling my Canon Powershot non-SLR camera to the eyepiece
using a bracket designed for this purpose.
