While doing my normal "Window" shopping on ebay, I alway check out the Dobsonian Telescope search just to see what's going on. Today they range from a old clestron 8in star hopper with a bid of $32.00 so far, shipping would be a killer to the west cost.

Hi to all. Today there isn't the usual image of mars, but an image of his moon Deimos. It wasn't easy to image it but at the end I won! I used my webcam philips toucam pro II and C9,25+reducer f6,3. Mean of 1600 frames at 5fps. Phobos is unfortunately too close to the planet and ...

Any one tried to use a DSLR camera with a Faststar telescope? I mean mounting a Canon 300D in F/2 mode in front of the SCT OTA? I know it will increas the COB a lot, but is it possiable? I have C-8 FastStar SCT now, but sold my CCD HX-516 a month ago.

It's a serious state of affairs when a larger piece of foam can fall off the tank after so much work to stop this problem. I can't understand why they don't have a robotic dummy craft off similar weight as the shuttle to do test flights
