You will spend more time in both airports than driving from Miami

It won't be cheap but the quickest way for me to go to KSC and back again to Miami in a single day will be to take a short 1 hour
flight to Orlando then catch a bus tour from there to KSC. The KSC website does mention a regular bus service between Orlando & KSC.

Thank you all for your help.

Over 200. About 3 1/2 hours from Miami to KSC.
About 1 hour from the Amtrak Station in Orlando to KSC.

I think I'll probably take the Amtrak from Miami to Orlando and then catch a taxi to KSC. Driving on the other side of the road in a
totally different road system is pretty scary to me :-)
I actually didn't realise how far Miami was from KSC...looks like over a 100 miles.

Rent a car and drive up Interstate 95.

Yes!!! Just confirmed my causeway tickets for the next launch. When I arrive in florida from the UK I'll be staying in Miami (South
Beach) for a week.
I've never visited America before, so can anyone tell me the best/cheapest way to travel from South Beach to KSC?

Thanks in advance.

Neither. It is the Press Site between the Launch Control Center and
the barge turning basin. You need press credentials to be there for a
launch.

I'd like to know because I'm planning to buy causeway tickets for the December launch :-) Anyone know when they go on sale? I'm
guessing after Discovery has returned home?
