It won't be cheap but the quickest way for me to go to KSC and back again to Miami in a single day will be to take a short 1 hour
flight to Orlando then catch a bus tour from there to KSC. The KSC website does mention a regular bus service between Orlando & KSC.

I think I'll probably take the Amtrak from Miami to Orlando and then catch a taxi to KSC. Driving on the other side of the road in a
totally different road system is pretty scary to me :-)
I actually didn't realise how far Miami was from KSC...looks like over a 100 miles.

Yes!!! Just confirmed my causeway tickets for the next launch. When I arrive in florida from the UK I'll be staying in Miami (South
Beach) for a week.
I've never visited America before, so can anyone tell me the best/cheapest way to travel from South Beach to KSC?

Is it the VIP viewing area about 3 miles away or the causeway viewing area 6 miles away? Neither. It is the Press Site between the Launch Control Center and the barge turning basin. You need press credentials to be there for a launch. Brian

I'd like to know because I'm planning to buy causeway tickets for the December launch :-) Anyone know when they go on sale? I'm guessing after Discovery has returned home?
