Did they find out why the comms link did not work

I mean, I heard them testing various parts of it with voltages and
waveforms, but never heard the end result.

I heard that several suspicious "wirings" (don't know what that meant)
were found. I assume they were "fixed". Only time will tell if the fixes
were definitive.
