In answer to someone spewing venal accusations, "No, David Beverly WAS
NOT a workplace bully!"  He was one of the very best people I have
ever met or had the privilege to work with.  He was an excellent
engineer, a kind and gentle person, and someone you feel blessed to
have known. How we will miss him!

Totally concur, here's what I said on MSNBC today after the presser, inter
alia:

Question regarding Beverly's heroism

"Absolutely -- what we know about Dave, from people who
knew him, they universally considered him to be an outstanding
human being, and a good engineer -- a top flight engineer
dedicated to his work, to his co-workers, decent. And that
apparently is -- that comes back to what I mentioned earlier,
that something was gnawing at Dave, that I have learned from
people close to him, and that was the need to do more with less.

"So that's not been mentioned at the press conference, I wish
I were there because I'd ask it."

Good to know.  All too often the 'someone' spews accusations in order
to make himself the center of attention.

My condolences on your loss.

In my web searches to learn more about David Beverly, I learned that
last year, he was awarded NASA's Exceptional Achievement Medal:

From what I've read about David Beverly, sounds like he was full of life and
had many interests, including sailing. To have it end so suddenly and in
such a violent way is a real tragedy...

My condolences for your loss.
