IPS PEA

May have asked this before here, but here goes.

I won in error at an Aurora Auction an apparently flown "IPS PEA".

What the heck is it?

Its made by Dornier and has all the flight labels etc. Someone told me it
flew on the shuttle as part of a pointing device for an orbital mission
maybe Topex/Poseidon?

Anyone got any ideas?

The only IPS I'm aware of that's flown on the shuttle is the Spacelab
Instrument Pointing System used on the Astro missions. This site confirms
it was made by Dornier:
