There have been some really nice images returned from space over
the past few years. Who can forget those shots of Atlantis docked
to/and departing from Mir on STS-71?
I read a recent thread talking about the American reluctance to
have the shuttle attached to the ISS during a Soyuz docking. And, as
expected, Atlantis split before TMA-9 arrived.
Are there ANY plans to record shots of a shuttle docked to the
station before the end of the program? I dislike the term 'eye
candy', but it would make for one hell of a shot, even if the shuttle
then departed to allow the Soyuz to dock. Seems a pretty small risk
for a wonderful reward. Images are what remind us what space
exploration is all about, after all.

No. If it happens it will be a "target of opportunity", but there is no
plan.
