Have any of you noticed that the standard win media feed drops out
periodically for no apparent reason recently.
Much as I hate real, this feed seems more reliable.

No, i use the real player feed, can't use win feed. But I have noticed
that the delay from realtime seems to grow the longer feed is up and
running. Or, maybe not.

...This is probably due to your ISP's hookup to the backbone getting a
glitch or a bottleneck. I honestly haven't seen anything on the HSDSL
I've got these days - which is actually getting me about 70% faster
downloads than Cable - and the feeds look really, really good.
But then again, I'm used to almost 10 years of Dial-Up speed quality
feeds, so I may be so used to crap that not-so-crap may seem like
HD...:-P

I'm not sure what you mean?
Could you elaborate?

This post goes back a way...
I have noticed that at certain times the feed just stops and the server
cannot be found for a while, then its back again.
I'd imagine its at times of demand outstripping supply, as it were, but as
I'm often already connected, this might not be so.
I've not been on lately, as there has been nothing new.

There is a launch coming up in a few months.
I've noticed with Real Player the streaming video seems to be delayed. And,
the delay seems to get longer the longer the streaming video runs. Not sure
why but can get fairly long, like 20-30 seconds with Real Player.

I find the sound channel on sound only, and real streams is far worse than
on the win media public channel, but the media channel the wind media has
the worst sound.
Seems a bit of a mess really.
I often chuckle at Nasa TV, its often very amateurish and prone to errors
by those pushing the buttons.
Why don't they just have a history channel instead so those old films can be
run all the time, stuff the education stuff on the education channel, and
then put out either live pics from the station or whatever event is
happening on the public channel?
