Marc Garneau, Canada's first astronaut, and who was the head of the
canadian space agency quit his job in order to run as a candidate in the
canadian election. Unfortunatly, he was defeated tonight, and in an
interview admitted he was now "unemployed".

(Not sure if he can get back his old job, it may go to some political
appointee from the new governing party that will try to place as many
friends as possible during their short stint as a minority government).

He won't be unemployed for very long.  :)
