And, even with that lead in,  public opinion (according to msnbc) is
still for it.

I was just interested in the way their polls can tally 101% to 104% of
the voters :)

Exactly the same.  Well, except that SSME thrust specs are documented and
easily understood.
I suspect television reports involving numbers are less easily confirmed
when audited.
