Why should I pay more in taxes so Bostonians can have the Big Dig?

If people travel by train more, they can travel by airplane less. This
will save money on airport security, and it will reduce fossil fuel use,
helping to give more time to develop new sources of energy, like thorium
breeders or fusion power, that can replace it.
