I read it in Pravda, so it must be true:

Now _this_ is a crash program! :-)

Red Lies! That's what I say. The article was written last week, then
sent back two years via the Antarctic Time Vortex.

Dave Chappelle did a bit on "Black Bush" a couple weeks ago, and the Mars plan
made an appearence as a distraction from Iraq.  I thought that was a bit odd,
as according to some in these groups, the public could care less about space.

Justin Wigg would know more about that than me. He lives closer to it.

Not any more.  Perth is further north than Melbourne and Sydney.
(You're in Sydney, right?)

Aw, you've seen the light and moved to sunny Perth - where I am :) Perhaps
you still live closer to Antarctica - I'm in the civilised north of the
river.

It isn't the year that is important to check in that
date it is the day of the year.

Do they celebrate that day over there?
Trying to tell a Pravda joke from a Pravda serious story is about as
difficult as finding Stalin's sense of mercy.

"Son of a bitch is down there somewhere."

They do. There's even a children's jingle that goes:
"Pervyi Aprel - //Nikomu ne ver'", meaning:
April First - Trust no one.

As for Pravda, it isn't what it used to be.
Like the old grey mare.

Notice the date on the article.  It's even a part of the URL:
/2002/04/01

That's still a pretty impressive timeline though, don't you think? By
now the mystery spacecraft must be ready to undergo short test flights,
say to the Moon and back.
Pravda nowadays is the National Enquirer of Russia- ever hear of the
time vortex at the South Pole?

But /science/ is part of the URL - they must be genuine.

I noticed that too.

That means that the Russians have a two year head start!

:-)
