I'm restarting the old resin model kit business I used to run years ago,
Part Time Models. There are a vast assortment of spacecraft models I'm
interested in modeling, but I want to do some things that'll sell (last
time I just made models of whatever I felt like...). To that end, I've
got a little market survey going:
http://www.up-ship.com/ptm/market.htm

What I'm basically looking for is feedback on which of these ~200 models
you *would* actually buy if they were made available. I need as much
response as I can get in order to do this right, so please take a moment
and check it out. There is an Excel spreadshet and a text listing; the
spreadsheet option is easiest for me, but all honest feedback is useful.

Thanks.

...Scott, I hate to be a dick about this, but it really would be
easier for some of us to visualize what we want *if* we had pictures.
So, could you either a) add small, B&W line drawings *or* b) at least
links to specific articles in Mark Wade's EA?

...Oh, and what's really needed are 1/200 scale accuratizing parts for
the AMT/Ertl manned boosters kit.

Yeah, right. When have you ever hated being a dick about *anything*? :)

There are 200 such options listed (some in multiple scales, however).
That's a lot of illustrations...

Well, RealSpace Models already has a 1/200 Skylab conversion for the
Saturn V.

Qucik queston or two.  Are you aware that some of these are already
available as resin kits?  Are you interested in suggestions for your
list?  And I don't know about others but if you offered the data alone
(for a reduced price obviously) I'd be all over it.  I don't really
have the time to build models but I *definitely* am big on collecting
information.

Yes. Discovered some cases of that after compiling the list.

Sure.

I might do that, but I'll start with it as a model-specific sort of
thing.

I did notice you were talking about different scales though.  For
instance the XF-103 and XF-108 kits out there are fairly large.

I was thinking of something as simple as printing off (or even
photocopying) an extra set of plans and info for kit X upon request
for a fee.  You wouldn't need to keep extras laying around just in
case someone wanted them.
