...Kids, I've gotten an RFI through OMWorld that I'd like some help
responding to. If you've got the answers, post'em here so I can pass
them on to this guy.

Thanks!

My Dear Sir,

I am writing to you to ask you to email me the size of Apollo 17 CM
side window.

I'm a Japanese,  a fan of Apollo space craft.
I was fascinated by distinct pictures of Apollo 17 on your site.
So, I ask this of you because I know you can tell it.
In particular, I'm very interested in Apollo CM side window.
What is the shape of the window?
Maybe the side window is a regular square with four round corners, but
I still think it's a kind of trapezoid.
So, could you tell me accurate shape?

And I want to confirm the height and width of the side window.
How large is the window ?
The side window covers are 13 inches square certainly.
But I think the side window measured 10 or 11 inches square without
inner frame, judging from your pictures.
Could you tell me that true measurements if you know?

I know you are very busy and I greatly appreciate your taking the time
to keep me informed.

Regards.

Hiroshi Nakamura from Tokyo.

...He is, IIRC, correct about the trapezoidal shape to the window
itself, but seeing as how I couldn't get my fat gut over the railing I
wasn't in a position to get an accurate measurement the last time I
was there :-(

Again, thanks in advance!

Here's a very good photo of it:

If that helps.

Why not try to loose some weight? It will help your health and waistline too.

I didn't know you could sell that stuff.  Well, I guess if it wasn't a
deliverable item on the contract then North American would be able to
dispose of it any way they wanted to, even if that meant someone dug it
out of a dumpster :)
