There is a main course:
http://boinc.berkeley.edu/
In the Status area you will find a link to the beta test site of BOINC.

I will start, I am sure others will correct what is wrong and add to
what I miss.
After Boinc is up and running full time and everything is deemed okay
by the Seti Team the old Seti will be shutdown. At the same time, or
their abouts, all of the beta clients will also be refused
connections, everyone will then be processing Seti thru the release
version of Boinc.
Boinc has the flexibility to be used by many other distributed
processing programs, like climate predictions, drug searches, protein
folding, Astropluse, the examination of black holes, the examination
of more of the sky than the current Seti, etc, etc.
No there is no official date for the switchover to the release version
of Boinc. The beta testing is progressing and some testers are
predicting a month or so, but some have said that before and that
month has come and gone.
Here is a how to site that seems well written:

While I get the impression things aren't set in stone, my understanding
is that after M1 (release), there will still be Alpha and Beta to test
clients before they hit the public. In essence, I think there will be
three Berkeley-run projects, Alpha, Beta, and Release. :-)
Only time will tell, though.

True but the Beta testers will have to upgrade to the release version
in order to not be Beta testers anymore, or at the very least sign
onto a new project. To continue being Alpha or Beta testers the
project could also change. I agree that for the forseeable future
Alpha and Beta testing will continue. At least for as long as there is
more that the Scientists want to be analyze.
