That wasn't very nice, but you're not a nice person, are you?

I thought that you had given up those repostings, but I see you want to
continue this silly practice!  But I'm going to take a "Higher" road and
show your minions of rat followers that I am the better person for not
reposting!

Notice ratz that I am not reposting to Art's cowardly taunts, let this be a
lesson to you, your leader is just an old frustrated old coot that has
soured on life and gets his kicks out of pulling the strings on you small
rats, out there.

Keep dancing at his direction, "Little Rats"!

Not for anything, Honest John, but we already have one
"old coot" of distinction in alt.astronomy... our friend and
fellow spewer of controversial cosmology, Bill Sheppard.

So there is no need for another old coot.  I do agree with
you that Deco is old and frustrated, though.  You can tell
he's OLD by the OLD & STUPID lames he likes to use.

And you can tell Deco's frustrated because he knows
that no matter what he and his group of laughable losers
do, they will NEVER close down alt.astronomy.  We
[tinw] just ain't gonna let that happen!

You actually mean that there is an "underground" resistance to this old

certainly agree that he is "OLD & STUPID".

Ditto!

I don't know about any underground [tinu], John.  All i know
is the reason i started reading a.a in the first place.  The name
gives it away, you know.  It's "alternative astronomy".  There
may have been another reason for starting the newsgroup
way back when, but for now the group's become sort of an
"outlaw haven".

Those who are hard pressed to agree with present science
dogma come here to express their "alternatives".  We get a
lot of conversation on the Big Bang, and black holes, all
sorts of stuff, both mundane and controversial.  Where else
could i express my firm and undying belief that the Moon is
really a planet in its own right, or that Pluto is NOT a planet
but just a comet wannabee like all the rest of the KBO's?
Of course, there's also the occasional ET threads and such.

And too, we have a powerful contingent of feet-on-the-
ground people who try to keep the rest of us head-in-the-
clouds types from bouncing too many reality checks. <g>

So this place is definitely worth keeping around, imo.

Every once in awhile another welcome kook shows up with
a posse of kreepy kookstone kopps hot on his heels.  One
plus is that this also attracts new people who are or become
interested in astronomy.  That's always a good thing, eh?

Welcome, Honest John, and be sure to share any and all wif
the rest of us [tinu^2]!

There are other astronomy groups, of course:

sci.astro
sci.astro.amateur
sci.astro.ccd-imaging

sci.astro.hubble
sci.astro.planetarium
sci.astro.research
sci.astro.satellites.visual-observe

sdnet.astronomy
uk.sci.astronomy
alt.sci.astro
alt.sci.astro.aips
alt.sci.astro.fits
alt.sci.astro.hale.bopp

(plus lots more non-English groups)

In how many of these have you tried discussing this vital belief?

Not at all, DWAC, it's not about us [tinu].  It's about astronomy.
It's about expressing views about science, and there's no place
else like it.

The more the merrier as long as they spend a good portion of
their time on the subject of astronomy.  Unlike you and your
cute little gooselings.

Which vital belief are you asking about?
And why in the hell would you give a damn?

Nice list, BTW, I've read most of them and posted to some of
them.  Many of them are specialty groups and very interesting.

Bad poetry?  That was painful, especially coming from you,
since you're such a renowned authority on poetry.

Deco, with all the off-topic stuff you mention above, it does
not hold a tiny candle to the off-topic stuff generated by you
and your gooselings. So you might want to shut up about this
aspect before you piss your pants.

As usual, DWAC, you don't know sh.t.

So, you would rather i attach myself to your gooseling group of
lamers instead?

Not likely.

Deco, i don't like you, and i don't like what you and your
gooselings have done to this newsgroup.  So i'm asking you
to give me what i want.  And what i want is for you to either
leave this newsgroup, alt.astronomy, alone, and take all your
little gooselings with you, OR...
stay and post mostly about astronomy.  If you do the latter,
then you will be most welcome.  But i still won't like you.

Why should i?  You seem to know all about it, DWAC.
If you're such a know-it-all, then why won't you answer

Exactly, and is your neuron count one or what?  There
are at least three, possibly four beliefs expressed in my
sentence above.  I really think you should get your one
brain cell checked.

Ask your question correctly, and then i'll decide if i want
to answer it.

Shows vividly how little you know about it, DWAC.  The
IAU has been mulling over the Pluto controversy almost since
KBO's were first discovered.  And many scientists and science
writers, to include Isaac Asimov, have written about the "Moon
as planet" argument.  Asimov believed the Moon should be
recategorized as a full-fledged planet in its own right.  And while
he thought that Pluto ought to offically retain its planet status, he
didn't know about KBO's.  They weren't discovered until after
he died.  Had he known about KBO's, Asimov may have
changed his mind.  Pluto's a KBO, nothing more, nothing less...

  Pluto's a comet wannabee.

Oh, i've controlled Usenet many times, and so have you.

Power's not the problem, DWAC... it's knowing when
to do the right thing, and at the present time the right thing

Nope, I've decided to not go anywhere else.
I like astronomy -- I like alt.astronomy.

I won't let a bunch of losers close it down.

Deco, I've never had a killfile, and i'm not going to start one now.

That's the pot calling the kettle black, DWAC.
IKYABWAI:  You're the biggest hippocryte it's ever been
my misfortune to find under a ton of horseshit.

1) you point fingers for off-topic posts, yet you post nothing but
   off-topic posts,
2) you always have an answer, which is seldom the right answer,
but it seems right for you, (don't you ever get tired of being a
   slug?)
3) You blame others for spouting bullshit whey THEY are right,
yet you are so full of bullshit that people are beginning to yell

      WHAT'S THAT SMELL?

   everytime they see your posts.

4) You'll probably have some ready bullshit response for all this,
and whatever it is, it will once again prove to everybody with
a mind who reads this that you're the biigest hippocryte they've
   ever known.
