There is no proof that RL, T1, HVAC and Ugly Bob are in league with
Larry (the Anonymous Free-Energy Coward) and are putting puppies to
death by roasting them alive.

There is even less evidence that they are being photographed in this
act by Sir GH and Dad.

Why I have received this email mystifies me to no end.

The Dark Usenet Cabal (TINC) does not condone puppycide.

Though, this doesn't necessarily preclude the possibility, either.

Ser Holly,

They're bound to say... and it's liable to be what they've always done.

Ser Knobette,

A quick review of your posts reveals your highly intelligent nature.  I
would like to be the first of the Dark Usenet Cabal (TINC) to
congratulate you on your highly effective strategy of posting only
high-authority one-liners as opposed to anything of substance or
originality.  No one before you has ever employed your shrewd method of
condescending pontification and we at the DUC (TINC) cannot imagine how
you ever thought it up.

I especially like the finality of your spine-tingling "~ DING ~"
denouement.  Others, like Art Deco, use the bellboy's "*ding*" showing
that the person or post in question takes no more to remove or call out
than the sound the manager might ring from the front desk.  A
forty-thousand source lines of code simulator was employed to match or
surpass the bellboy's dinger and it failed miserably, coming up with
only permutations such as the Ritz's front "Ding." or the Marberry's "I
say, ding, old boy" or the muffled sound of the towel againts the dome,
"*dinq" and when given enough cluster-processor time, even once yielded
"_ding_" - but it was so understated that analysts to this day question
whether its intent is to call for the removal of unwanted luggage or to
notify the concierge that an iced-latte is desired in suite 17.

For four decades, from 1e-12 to 1e-8, Art's distinctive "*ding*" has
been the unmitigated and unchallenged Usenet's "Front!" and the DUC
(TINC) as well as the cypherpunks have steered clear of further
attempts at improving upon its greatness.

And here you come along, muster the power and majesty of the bells of
Notre Dame, grab the ropes, and with all of your might, you are able to
make those lusty bells peal out a whole ding.

You must be self-taught.  Really.

It's clear it didn't take you a whole lot of time to teach yourself.
I, for one, am simply glad that I don't have to deal with your
greatness in real life.  (BTW - do you operate a motor vehicle on
public streets or procreate and if yes to either, are you required to
warn others in your community when so doing?)

Please, Ser Knobette, do respond and use as many clever sentences as
you are able to muster.  Usenet holds its breath just for you,
regardless of which highly inventive nickname you feel you simply MUST
use this time.

Ser RL,

No help required - I've seen Dark Star about a zillion times - or four
- and LMAO each time.  I believe it was Carpenter's directorial debut
or sci/fi debut or something.

Great stuff.

Another film from my youth ...

Predates Tarantino.  Slightly dated.   Amusing, too.

Yes.  I'll tell you what Godard said when someone asked
him, "Why do you show so much blood in Weekend ?"
And he answered, "I don't use blood; I use the color red.
I like red."  There are so many people who don't like red.
There's a social barrier against red.  If all the violence shown
in movies doesn't show blood, people will accept it.   The first
barrier against red is the red of traffic lights.  Then there's the
Communist terror.  And the menstrual cycles.  And hemorrhoids ...
which eighty percent of the people in the U.S. suffer from ... from bad
eating habits, from eating hamburgers.  To solve this problem, I
propose
that the audience see different colors of blood.  Think of green blood
