Mass Power Outages Across Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Florida Power and Light is reporting mass power
outages across the state. In Central Florida,
FP & L has confirmed outages in Brevard, Orange, Osceola and Volusia
Counties.

Reports to the Eyewitness News newsroom say power was off in parts of
the downtown Orlando area for approximately 20 minutes Tuesday
afternoon at about 1pm before coming back on.

Police are directing traffic in intersections where traffic lights
have stopped functioning.

FP & L say the outages stretch as far south as Miami.
