she rest in peace). She was one of those sweet and
beautiful moms, and heaven knows how she put up
with me for all those years.
This year, that date also marks the 50th anniversary
of the first successful manmade satellite launch into
space. So "Sputnik" (in Russian it means "companion")
has been in the news...

Are you sleeping?
Stars are waiting,
Shining high, they wait for you.
Are you watching?
Stars are soaring,
Flashing, twinkling just for you.

Astrology! so long ago,
So far away in time and place,
Astronomers would use to crow,
To fund their work, to feed their face.
At present, 'tis a huge disgrace,
Tho' scientist must try to see
That many a DONOR keeps apace
With modern-day astrology!
