According to the CBS evening news, white slavery is prospering in Florida! (Now they call it "human trafficking". Your wife or daughter might just go over to a friend's house for a visit, and suddenly she is drugged, raped, beaten, and then locked permanently inside a house as a sex slave! Yes, there are places in Oregon that have no fire protection at all. Where I used to live, they only had a volunteer fire department. When a local siren would blow, a bunch of amateur volunteers who liked fires would rush over to the fire station and hop on a truck and lumber their way toward your burning house. Not true; jesting. I grew up on gorgeous, pristine Florida panhandle beaches, with books for birthday presents, lots of soda pop, & a trip to NYC by the time I was 8 years old, in 1964.
