See: 'De revolutionibus orbium coelestium libri VI':

Not only did Copernicus seek to re-order the heavens,
he conspicuously ignored Earth's place at the center
of her caelestial sphere. That was his fatal blunder.

Copernicus tried to confuse the heavens, re-numbering
Earth's caelestial sphere first instead of eighth, as
Nick renumbered Saturn second instead of seventh, and
Jupiter third instead of sixth, also renumbering Mars
 fourth instead of fifth, Earth fifth instead of tenth;
IGNORING THE MOON he renumbers Venus sixth instead of
third, Mercury seventh instead of second, ad nauseam!

This first chart summarizes synodic & sidereal
periods of the planets in mean solar days, and
mean tropical years, to measure sidereal years.
This is especially important, since it proves
that the order of the heavens is established by
   sidereal--NOT synodic--periods of the planets:

              THE TEN PLANETARY ORBITS
            S#  Pla  Synod  Sider. /TropY
           *10  Plu  366.7  90800.  247.9
            *9  Nep  367.5  60190.  164.8
            *8  Ura  369.7  30685.  84.02
             7  Sat  378.1  10760.  29.45
             6  Jup  399.9  4332.2  11.86
             5  Mar  780.0  686.98  1.881
             4  Sun  -----  365.26  1.000
             3  Ven  583.9  224.70  0.615
             2  Mer  115.9  87.969  0.241
             1  Moo  29.53  27.322  0.075
                            ^^^^^^
*NOTE:Ura rules Earth's sidereal year =~ 1.00004
     Nep rules Earth's tropical year =~ 1.00000
     Plu rules Earth's own geocenter =~ 0.00000.

Cf. the above with this chart dated cir. 440 AD, which
agrees with Greco-Roman authorities dated centuries BC;
that's many centuries *BEFORE CHRIST*. You do the math:

THIS DEMONSTRATES CONCLUSIVELY THAT ancient astronomers
knew full-well that the planets orbit with the Sun, and
knew the Earth is the center of her caelestial firmament.
Notably, the explictly sidereal numbering of the heavens
coupled with the very obvious fact that the Earth is the
center of her caelestial sphere, these facts prove that
Copernicus was a heretic. Only "Fundies" ignore evidence,
choosing instead to perpetuate their Copernican delusion.

For further information on how easy it is to observe
and predict the synodic -and- sidereal periods of the
ten planets of heaven, just as the ancients did, see:

You taking the word of a few ancient "astronomers" over thousands of
modern day astronomers is lame to put it mildly.
Some of the ancients could understand your beliefs are wrong too.
Fixed earth, flat earth, young earth, is superstition over reality,
try to at least get into the 20th century would ya?
Magellan was considered a heretic for believing that the Earth was
round, do you have a problem with the earth being round too?
The pseudoscience and errors and lies used to support the
fixed/flat/young earth (take your pick of falacies) are bullshit. Go
read the widely agreed upon information from modern day experts, the
truth is much more wonderful than the sh.t religious people are
feeding you now.

You have your own pseudo-scientific version of what Copernicus
achieved  -

" For to the earth planetary motions appear sometimes direct,
sometimes stationary, nay, and sometimes retrograde. But from the sun
they are always seen direct," NEWTON

I have news for you,we  DO see the orbital motions of the other
planets around the Sun from an orbitally moving Earth, here is time
lapse footage of  the faster Earth overtaking the slower forward
moving Jupiter and Saturn to prove it -

http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/image/0112/JuSa2000_tezel.gif

Unless people have a desperate need to prop up a worthless Newtonian
view when they have actual images to prove that Newton's approach to
retrogrades and their resolution is junk then I do not know why they
are ignoring the great Copernican achievement.

I covered this ground so many times that it hardly can be unfamiliar
to people but suit yourselves and your distinctly  sub-human celestial
sphere astrology,as far as I am concerned you insult yourselves.
