I guess the most asked question here is "what is the best beginner
telescope?", right? :)
Well, I googled the archives and found the last time this question was
asked was over 8 months ago, and the post got no replies. So... what is
a good beginner telescope that has a computerized motor?
Any pointers would be most appreciated.

This comes up more often on sci.astro.amateur. BTW why computerised?
Unless you have plenty of cash, it is better to spend your money on
optics than electronic gee-gaws. You also need to ask yourself, what do I
want to use the scope for? Do I want it to be easily transoprtable - will
