Hi!
I am a newbie in astronomy.
I started to read some books around astronomy lately. Wow, so much to
learn!
I observed the sky during the last two weeks and noticed a bright star in
south of the sky. I noticed also what seems like a moon or something else
beside that star. Is it possible that it is Jupiter and one of its moon? I
am located in east Canada.
Many thanks!

Also you can download Google Earth if you haven't already and under
the "view" menu you'll see "Switch to sky".
